⚡️ THE MOST MASSIVE AIR ATTACK: 102 MISSILES AND 99 ATTACK UAVs SHOT DOWN
In the night of Monday, August 26, 2024, Russian occupiers launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine's critical infrastructure, particularly targeting the state's fuel and energy sector, using various types of missiles launched from air, land, and sea.
❗️A total of 236 enemy air attack assets were detected and tracked by the Air Force's radio-technical troops: 127 missiles and 109 attack UAVs:
- 3 Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal" aeroballistic missiles from the airspace of the Ryazan and Lipetsk regions of Russia;
- 6 "Iskander-M"/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Kursk and Voronezh regions of Russia and from Crimea;
- 77 Kh-101 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS aircraft in the airspace over the Volgograd region and the Caspian Sea area;
- 28 "Kalibr" cruise missiles from surface/subsurface carriers in the eastern part of the Black Sea;
- 3 Kh-22 cruise missiles from the airspace of the Voronezh region of Russia;
- 10 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air-launched missiles from Su-57, Su-34 aircraft in the airspace over the Belgorod region of Russia and the Mariupol area;
- 109 "Shahed-131/136" attack UAVs launched from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Yeysk in Russia, and Chauda in Crimea.
💥 All available weapons and equipment were engaged to repel the air attack: aviation, air defense missile forces of the Air Force, mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and electronic warfare units. Overall, 201 aerial targets were shot down in the course of the air battle: 102 missiles and 99 attack UAVs:
- 1 Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal" aeroballistic missile;
- 1 "Iskander-M"/KN-23 ballistic missile;
- 1 Kh-22 cruise missile;
- 99 Kh-101, "Kalibr", and Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles;
- 99 "Shahed-131/136" attack UAVs.
Additionally, several UAVs were lost within Ukraine's territory, and two crossed the state border into the Republic of Belarus.
