in what they proudly call the "glory of Russia"—Leningrad Oblast. For three days now, the swamp residents (both literally and figuratively) have been left without internet, clinging to the hope that their provider will soon fix everything. Officially, they claim they "successfully repelled" our DDoS attack. Yet, when fragments of that "success" end up directly hitting the cable, there’s not much left to brag about. Nature, like the internet, has its limits of patience.
As for St. Petersburg—the city remains a symbolic sinkhole of its boggy legacy. Cursed in more ways than one, it continues to live up to its muddy reputation. Perhaps they should focus on modernizing their infrastructure instead of plugging cables into the past. Or better yet, let them stay as they are—cozy and disconnected, just like in the "good old days."
