Europe wants to help Trump in the Strait of Hormuz, but Trump has no plan

Short version

Europe is practically begging to back up the American military in the Middle East right now, but nobody has a clue what the actual plan is. The allies want to help Trump in the Strait of Hormuz to keep the oil flowing and push back against threats. The massive problem here is that the White House cannot explain how they actually want to achieve their regime change goals, what the end of the war will look like, or what the targets are.

The situation in the water right now is a complete and absolute mess. We have massive oil tankers just sitting there, unable to move because the threat of getting blown up is too high. Europe is panicking. They need the oil, they need the trade routes open, and they are terrified of what happens if the whole region goes up in flames. For once, the European countries are actually stepping up. They are packing their bags, preparing their naval ships, and telling Washington that they are ready to join the fight. They are not hiding behind polite statements this time. They actually want to fight.

But here is where the entire thing turns into a bad comedy. Europe is knocking on the door of the White House, asking for instructions, and they are getting nothing but confusing noise. It is wild to watch. Everyone is ready to support Trump in the Strait of Hormuz, but the man in charge cannot give them a straight answer. One day it is all about total destruction, the next day it is about making a deal, and then it goes back to threats. You cannot run a massive military operation like a reality television show. The generals are confused, the allies are frustrated, and the enemies are probably laughing.

If you are going to start dropping bombs and sinking ships, you need a map of what comes next. The Europeans are asking very simple questions. They want to know the regime change goals before they send their own sailors into a combat zone. Do we want to completely overthrow the government over there? Okay, let us say we do. Who takes over the next morning? Is there a friendly group ready to step in, or are we just going to leave a burning hole in the ground and hope for the best? Because the last time the West did that, it created decades of terrorism. Europe remembers that very well, and they do not want to make the same stupid mistake twice.

This is the most frustrating part of the whole drama. Trump wants a victory, but he cannot describe what a victory even looks like. What is the actual end of the war? Does the war end when the enemy surrenders, or does it end when we run out of money? You simply cannot send European and American forces into one of the most dangerous bodies of water on the planet without a finish line. Until someone in Washington sits down, grabs a piece of paper, and writes out a clear, simple strategy, Europe is just going to be holding their guns in the dark, waiting for a plan that might never come.
