Victor had been waiting for this moment for a year and a half, ever since he joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces to defend his country from the Russian invasion. And today, December 13, 2024, during a massive missile attack on the Mykolaiv region, his time finally came. Using a portable Stinger air defense system for the very first time, Victor scored a direct hit, taking down an enemy cruise missile!
💬 “It’s impossible to describe the emotions! I always dreamed of shooting down an enemy drone, maybe even a few. But a missile? That’s something else! I had never worked with this kind of weapon before, but I wasn’t nervous at all during the shot. My comrades and I quickly identified the target and its trajectory, and after that, it was all about focus, faith in success, and a bit of technique,” Victor shared.
One shot, one hit, one less missile threatening Ukraine. Ukrainian precision and skill once again prove that Russian "birds" don’t fly far here. Victor, you’re a hero! 💪
