Meta, the company that owns Facebook, has implemented a global ban on the use of its apps by the Russian government-funded international media group "Rossiya Segodnya," the Russian state-controlled broadcaster RT, and other affiliated organizations. This ban affects apps such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads.
"After careful consideration, we have expanded our measures against Russian state-controlled media," Reuters quoted Meta’s statement from September 16. The decision was made in response to their activities related to "foreign interference."
