By his decrees, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has enacted new sanctions restrictions introduced by the decision of the National Security and Defense Council. This package of sanctions is directed against 15 individuals and 36 legal entities.
Special attention in the new list is given to those who, through their actions or public statements, disseminate narratives that are consonant with Russian propaganda and undermine Ukraine's information security. This is an important step in the fight against hybrid aggression and disinformation.
The sanctions list includes individuals known for their active presence in the information space: political scientist Kostyantyn Bondarenko; leader of the political party "Derzhava", which is prohibited in Ukraine, Dmytro Vasylets; blogger Myroslav Olesko, who illegally left Ukraine in 2023, which indicates his evasion of responsibility; public figure and blogger currently residing abroad, Olexiy Arestovych, whose statements often cause resonance and criticism. In addition to them, the list also includes other individuals and legal entities whose activities have been recognized as harmful to national interests.
These sanctions are another decisive step for Ukraine on the path to strengthening its information security and protection from external influences aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country.
