The agency is reportedly considering blocking foreign hosting providers supposedly as a measure to protect against DDoS attacks according to TASS. Roskomnadzor already temporarily limited access to the popular CloudFlare service back in March which resulted in operational failures for several Russian websites and services.

It is stressed that measures of this kind would purportedly be used if threats to the stability and security of Russian resources were perceived.

The author suggests that the agency should block itself instead.
