This is exactly what we’ve been saying to ourselves about Russia all these years, and it seems they’ve only just realized it.
I believe that instead of fighting head-on at the front where the concentration of troops is at its maximum, going where there is no military presence at all is a brilliant decision. Because it’s safer there, with more room for maneuvers, less concentration of mines, barriers, drones, and so on.
