The U.S. Army is establishing new information warfare units

set to become operational in 2026. These units, known as Theater Information Advantage Detachments (TIAD), will focus on countering information threats from Russia and China. They will include specialists in cyber operations, psychological warfare, and civil affairs, along with experts utilizing data analytics, artificial intelligence, and advanced technologies to monitor and analyze threats.
