Imagine how Musk and others around him constantly say how powerful Russia is. Every day, they're drilling it into him that Russia is a strong player, and in that environment, it's hard to see another reality.
It seems like Trump deliberately wants to embarrass Ukraine on the world stage, forcing the world to no longer help us. It feels like he's willing to sacrifice our security for his own political goals.
So, "not ready for peace" in Trump’s language actually means "I just don’t like him."
