In May 2025, our sky guardians showed impressive success, as the Air Defense Forces of the Defense Forces neutralized a remarkable 4051 enemy air targets. During this period, our defenders eliminated an entire arsenal of threats. Among the downed targets were 46 cruise missiles, such as the Kh-101/Kh-55SM, and 9 ballistic missiles of the Iskander-M/KN-23 type. Additionally, 14 Kalibr cruise missiles and 5 Kh-59/69 guided air missiles were neutralized. The enemy suffered particularly significant losses in unmanned aerial vehicles, with 1892 attack drones, known as 'Shaheds', 731 reconnaissance UAVs, and another 1354 UAVs of other categories being destroyed.
The Air Force's aviation was also highly active, conducting over 769 sorties throughout the month. Approximately 442 of these missions were for fighter air cover, while over 228 were dedicated to striking enemy positions and providing air support to our troops. Thanks to the efforts of the Defense Forces' aviation in May, 365 air threats were eliminated. Furthermore, our pilots successfully struck enemy command posts, logistical facilities, and areas where enemy personnel and military equipment were concentrated.
