A group of cyber specialists operating under the alias @yellow_drift announced that they successfully hacked and deleted over 500 TB of data from Russia's largest electronic trading operator. This platform serviced hundreds of thousands of state customers, including military-industrial complex enterprises.
The reason? Supporting and funding the war. While there’s no official statement from Russia yet, users in the Telegram channel for "Roseltorg" are already complaining about the total collapse of the service — no applications, no tenders, no nothing.
The hackers offered a humorous explanation:
Silence breeds speculation, panic, and questions. And that’s definitely not in our plans. On the contrary, we’re here to clarify who stands where and how cause-and-effect relationships work. Support tyranny and war? Get ready to return to the Stone Age.
Roseltorg isn’t doing any "temporary maintenance." Instead, they’re dealing with the aftermath of a night-time attack that wiped out 550 TB of data: servers, backups, emails, certificates, the website, and the entire federal platform infrastructure.
In the meantime, we suggest using this unexpected break from trading, submitting applications, and preparing tenders to reflect on life. Who knows? Maybe you’ll even decide to change something 😉.
