It seems that Vladimir Shadrin from "Rostelecom" has decided to enter a new business—fraud!
His arrest at the Basmanny Court in Moscow took place on November 14, 2024.
The reason?
A brilliant scheme:
it turns out he found a way to make 180 million rubles almost invisible by purchasing software licenses that no one used except for his own pocket. Along with him in the "case" was Anton Menchitsya, CEO of "Compliance Soft"—two masterminds who figured out how to turn government funds into their own little comedy.
Now they are waiting for their fate in custody until January 12, 2025.
Meanwhile, "Rostelecom" is not falling behind and claims to cooperate with law enforcement, albeit too late. Well, they are, of course, not guilty, but it's still curious how it happened that "most of the funds" ended up missing right under their employees.
Nevertheless, with new disasters in Russian state contracts, things are getting more and more entertaining!
